Yesterday's "enrichment" was messing around in the bins of ferret care stuff that I took off the top of the cage to wash it. They're plastic shoeboxes holding things like shampoo, bitter apple, toothbrush, extra clean dishes and so on. I put them on the disarranged couch that is now a giant ferret den, and Snorri declared it *the awesomest toy ever!!!!* He had a ball knocking them over and sending stuff falling everywhere, crawling through the boxes, wrestling bottles, and sniping his siblings from underneath the avalanche. Momma's little viking loves nothing more than making a huge mess.

Give a kid a toy- and they'll play with the box it came in instead ;D I love how much they adore the simple things Favourite playtime here is cage cleaning day as well. The chest is open with all the clean bedding, new toys, clean litter boxes(not for long, the brats- they don't even need litter in them ), and they have a blast!

Very true......the unintended enrichment I had "not" come up with was folding laundry on my unmade bed. I put them on the bed to keep an eye on them and WOW they were hopping and dooking and tunnelling for a LONG time.....too fun!!

That's how I keep them occupied on cage cleaning days- open the chest with all the clean bedding ;D Just have to make sure everyone is out before closing it up again

lol EXACTLY! I have been doing some summer cleaning, thanks to the fuzz! I HAD boxes of junk and stuff, which they all immediately helped me spread all over the floor and go through. so I have gone through it and thrown most of it all out. Thank you Fuzzies for helping me remove my clutter!!!!
but yea....they LOVE THE RECYCLING! and all the paper bags from the grocery store. Sometimes they even find poopy bags i have saved for the dog!
Oh and Fox has found pure joy in finding tampons (new ones) and hiding them because they are all in plastic bags. lmfao.
Oh yeah....and the bathroom waste basket is a favorite of fox's for sure. whenever its that time of the month, if the bathroom door is ever left open, all you see is "TAMPONS!!!! EVERYWHERE!!!!" and Fox in the middle of the pile smiling at you. It is gross and hilarious all at one time.
Their new favorite thing as a group though, is my 10'X11' rug I have rolled up and sitting on its side against the wall. they crawl in it, around it, under it, over it, they sleep in it, sometimes i hear them digging in it, when that happens i run over and slap the top to make noise, and they stop and come out to look at me as to say "HEY, what do you want?"

Free toys are the best kind. My guy gets stuck in my tall washing basket to I tipped it over for him, (It's some-what round) he had a ball rolling it back and forth, jumping in and out and onto it.

lol Today I had a ton of paper bags all over the floor and they had a BALL running in them. but today was the first day i let them out to actually run a whole lot in the past 2 days, so they were EXTREMELY EXCITED! it also made them more excited because I have some guests over. they were soooooooo happy!
And yeah, I usually keep the bathroom door closed so none of them can go in there to make a mess, sometimes when i have guests though, they forget the whole door rules. LOL
