So I currently have this cage and it's horrible! I only have Dakoda caged because she's so active and I don't trust he not to distort my carpet . the little brat has worked out how to push the tray forward and and escape the cage! I've had to rope the entire from of the cage just to stop the tray from moving! Making it a pain in the butt to clean. Not only that the wire levels her and me and the ladder wont stay in place because their are hocks at both slides. I cannot get a FN shipped to Australia but I just came across this! A Ferret Kingdom its just like a FN 142! But its going to cost me $360 (Including shipping and an extra tray) :/ Is it going to be worth it? My thoughts: Would make daily cleaning easy. I could split it into two cages (Since I cannot leave both my ferrets together this would be helpful). Would house more Can expand the cage just like a FN On the downside, I just order a custom bedding set for my current cage. :/ www.quicksales.com.au/buy/auction_arc.aspx?itemid=6253818

It does look a lot like a ferret nation.... I love my ferret nations, they're worth their weight in gold. Bedding is something I always consider as secondary. The ease of cage care and safety is my biggest deal with cages. I'm presently using 3 ferret nations 142's and 1 critter nation as a hospital cage. I've paid $200 for one of them used so I don't really know what you would consider a fair price. The others were donated along with the ferrets that were surrendered. I also have a number of other ferret type cages too.....there is 3 ferret mansions in the room too, for emergencies (hopefully I won't ever have to put them into use) Though I do use them for the occasional guest (I babysit/board the occasional fuzz ) and the one is in use all the time as a hang out/sleepy space ciao

If you can snag one, go for it! Not sure about the overall size, but it certainly does look like an FN. The ease of cleaning with those is amazing

I really don't like how small the level is and how wirery everything is. It's like a giant bird cage.

Are you talking about the cage she has a picture posted of TTFR, or the link for the new cage?

I cannot find the dimensions of the the levels them selves, but I'm confident they would be similar in size to that of the Ferret Nation cages. Currently, my 4.5 pound ferret cannot get onto the levels in my current cage :/ This restricts their space A LOT. Having a litter tray, round bed, food and water all on the lower level. Was not too sure about the price but I think it would be an investment..

Definitely an investment and definitely well worth the money. I went through 2 cages before I got my Ferret Nation simply because they were cheap. Learned my lesson..
It's definitely money well spent. I got mine ON SALE!! for $300 at the only pet shop within 100 miles that sells them and I don't regret it for one second.

Oh, and also.. the dimensions on the Ferret Kingdom are 93.5 x 63.5 x 159.5cm, which is just about the same size as the FN 142.

-watches- 3 left according to this ebay add. hmm... Must pay off credit card. Katirhi you paid $300 for a Ferret Nation of similar size? so $360 wouldn't be to unraisable for the cage, plus extra tray and delivery?

I know a lot of people here got theirs for cheaper, but I don't do banking of any type, which means no online transactions for me, so I had to get mine in a brick & mortar store. Unfortunately everything in that store seems to be overpriced.. But yeah, it was on sale for $300. It was $380. I would have paid the $380 if I had to. It's really a great cage.
