Hello, recently I had to put my ferret down due to cancer. I brought all 3 of his siblings with us to the vet appointment after everything was done we put the body on the ground to let them say good bye, they were all uninterested, we gave it about 20 minutes and they barely even sniffed him. After that we left the vet and came home. They all immediately started looking for him. This was 3 days ago and that's all the do. They're still all eating and drinking but they just sleep, eat and search. Is there anything else I can do to help them at this point? And get them to stop searching?

I got Rocky and MOe together when they were 3-4 years old. Rocky passed around 5. MOe would wake up and run the pereimeter of the house, I assume looking for Rock. Moe got cataracts and eventually went blind, but he still walked the perimeter whenever he came out of the cage. Moe lived another 2 years. Everyone mourns in their own way. Maybe if you have toys or bedding with his scent on it you can put it in the cage with them. Or maybe they're just being ferrets.
