Aron has become so fat! Alice was big too but Aron tops the charts. I don't now even how to slim him down, he's just lazy compared to Sean. Half of their food is Turkey. Sean has been much better lately, though he's turned into a carpet thief.

It's not low blood sugar, his eyes are always wide open, alert and no hind leg weakness (but because he's so fat his back legs kick out to the side when he's running). I can work him up and he'll make an effort to bounce around, but he's more interested in just plopping down by me and just watching what I do or lay with his toys and kick them around on his back. He has always been an odd one though, begs me to pick him up all the time but doesn't like to be held too long unless it's to put him up somewhere. He wants to knock things over. He won't play with me directly unless I use a toy or blanket. He really goes out of his way to not make contact with me with his mouth, which is a complete opposite of Sean. It's not an enlarged liver, I checked and the liver is fine just a lot of blubber.

When you mean you checked his liver, did you mean by holding him up and he looked like a tube sock? Was he even on both sides? Could it be an enlarged spleen? How old is Aron now?

When you mean you checked his liver, did you mean by holding him up and he looked like a tube sock? Was he even on both sides? Could it be an enlarged spleen? How old is Aron now? He's about 4 years now. No, he's fat as a toad. His stomach is all fat, very soft no hard tissue, bruising or discomfort anywhere. He eats twice as much as his brother does. Alice had the same build as Aron did and she got large like he did but being a female she was smaller. I still handle him every day and makes sure he's alright and not bumping or scraping anything underneath. He scraped his belly a little a couple of times but some topical ointment cleared that up right away. Just like Alice he also has a benign tumor that comes and goes between his hind legs underneath, in the exact same place. I just wish there was some way to make him drop the weight but trying to limit his food intake with another ferret with a healthy weight I don't know how it can be done. You can't exactly make them eat when you want them to.

Adorable. Is there any issue with Aaron's hips? He almost seems a bit stiff in them.

Adorable. Is there any issue with Aaron's hips? He almost seems a bit stiff in them. Some days he waddles and kicks out his legs and others he walks normally. I think it depends if he just ate or not. lol This morning he was chasing Sean around the house and acting like a kit. I haven't seen him that active in awhile.

I caught Aron going to the food dish 4 times this morning. I had to stop him before he finished the entire meal for him and Sean by himself and there wasn't much left. That's crazy that was 5-6oz just this morning.

I watched the video again He is a bit of a chonk. that gait might be just due to his excess baggage. I've had 2 chubbies. When was the last time he was at the vet? Is it possible to keep their food separate?
