I don't know if this is where I should be posting this, but I just wanted to know how often I should be weighing our boys and when do I do it? Like should I do it in the morning before they eat, should I do it after they eat, before bed, like when?

Most people weigh every week if they’re monitoring for a certain medical condition that can cause symptomatic weight gain (like using prednisolone or having heart failure [they bloat with water]) or weight loss (literally anything that goes wrong will cause a decrease in appetite and if you’re feeding two or more ferrets at the same time you might not notice one is eating less because the other starts eating their share). If nothing’s wrong, there’s no real need to do it that often. To get a baseline weight, weigh them when they’re healthy both before and after meals a few days in a row and average it, then write it down somewhere. That way if somebody seems sick in the future, you can weigh them again and you have something to compare to early on before you can feel or see weight change. Also take note of and feel with your hands the fatty deposits around lymph nodes in the armpits and on the sides of the neck right above the shoulders. These fat stores change more rapidly than abdominal fat, and it’s also fishy if they go firm, it’s symptomatic of lymphoma.
