Penda my 9 week old kit is doing so well.
He's always hungry as you'd expect from a kit but can now easily manage whole adult mice, it's so satisfying watching him crunching away and then him licking the blood from his cute little whiskers.
Freca has to be careful that Penda doesn't finish his mouse first and then steal his!

Wow! You SHOULD be proud - eating whole prey like a pro! Nice work - and I'm sure Penda enjoys his mousies ;D

He had a head start, his breeder fed the litter on whole rabbits etc from the time they took their first solid food.

Amazing! I got SoCo at 11 wks and started him on raw after I had him a week (I think.. maybe less.)..... I know I was giving him chicken baby food since the first day and mixing raw into his marshalls. I thought he would have to be convinced to switch like Mojito and Kahlua. But everyone on here said he shouldnt give me a problem about it. I tried it and nooope, no problem at all, he dove right into raw and now refuses anything else (even treats, he wont take any treat at all!!) I have wanted to try prey with him (and my older female, Kahlua, to help her get out her frustration) but I dont think I can do it. When i was 13-16 I used to save mice and rats from being snake/lizard food... I dated a guy when I was young whos mom was a lizard breeder and thats what started me on saving, I would steal them from her and sneak them home in my purse. Even after we broke up I would talk to her and keep taking them, lmao. I think she caught on after a while but never said anything. Anywhoo I want to do raw but I have no idea how i'd get over that.
