Problem: How can I set up a kat feeding station that a blind kat can access but a fert cannot?
I have 4 kats and 2 ferts. Been here many times but, now one kitty is elderly and blind. I had been keeping the kat feeder on the dryer so the ferts couldn't get to it, but I don't want Precious, who is severely vision impaired, to have to jump that high. I had put the kat feeder on the floor, but the fuzzies have been eating the kat kibble and not their soupies and fert kibble. I am trying to figure a way that Precious can get her kat food and prevent the ferts from eating it. For now, I have put a bowl of kitty kibble on the sofa next to me, since Precious sits by me while I am there, but they're all free roam during the day. Bobo can't get on the sofa but Lilly can. I don't think Lilly will care to get on the sofa if I am not there, but I dont want the ferrets to have access to kat food at all.
Ideas?

can you lock her in a room or a cage by herself in the morning for 15 to 20 min then repeat in the evening. I feed 4 feral cats twice a day.

Hello,
You can actually get feeders that are activated by the animals microchips. That way food is only dispensed for the correct animal. If precious leaves food though I suppose the ferrets could have a nibble, I'm not sure, I have never used one myself I just know they exist. Maybe have a little look into them and see if they could work 🙂 good luck
