It seems we have have are first cuddlebug ferret out of all the ferrets we have had over the last 15 years. Squirrel (Greek for shadow tail) was a rescue and had recently come out of his shell. He seems to get into to trouble playing with the young kits and will scream when he has had too much. we have been rescuing him from the younger terrors. the other day I rescued him from getting Mauled. I put him in my lap and he just curled up. He was there for about an hour until it was time to pit him in his cage. The next day I sat in my normal spot to spend some social time with the ferrets while they were out and he just crawled into my lap and curled up. He now seeks me out and scratches at my foot to pick him up and he is not shy about it. I think we have created a monster.

nearly every ferrant ever has hoped for such a monster. I get more cuddle time from Bobo than any of my past 30 ferts, and I love it. It makes me smile whenever I see a cuddle bug.

How precious. Yes I would like a monster like that too. My buddy can't stand ferrets but he likes humans. Not quite a cuddle bug.

Most I was ever able to get with my past ferrets was a ninja cuddle every so often. only lasts until they wake up. about 3 to 4 mins

I get some cuddle time with Charlie until he gets an itch and jumps up to scratch or gets hot and then decides to go sleep somewhere else. LOL

Sounds like he definitely needs the reassurance of your lap and love <3

I get some cuddle time with Charlie until he gets an itch and jumps up to scratch or gets hot and then decides to go sleep somewhere else. LOL That describes about half the ferrets I've had.
