Hello, Lola has been on raw for around 3 weeks now. The last week her poos have been a lot more formed, and a lot less seedy than what it was the first couple of weeks. On the odd poop she passed complete mucous. I read from. The poop chart that this can mean gi upset. She's healthy and happy, most of her poos are fine, but maybe once a day there will be a mucous one. Is this normal for raw fed? Or does this mean her body is not agreeing with what I'm feeding her at the moment? Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated. photos.app.goo.gl/bbRUThHDJMi1TXQW8

there are solids in there, not pure mucus. again, I wouldn't be concerned about an occasional odd poop. ferrets can go 5-6 times a day. if you see 3-4 thin liquid poops in a row it might be a problem. but if you are feeding different meals and not the same mix every time, you will get a variety of poops.

What is it that she ate before that poop? The poops will vary as uncle joe said and it will coincide with what they ate the meal before.

Thank you both, she ate 80 10 10 lamb and duck. Yess she definitely doesn't have lots of mucous poos in a row just the odd one either once a day or every other day. I feel better now thanks!

It seems like he's just adjusting to the new food. The lumpy parts mean undigested pieces of fat and protein, and the color is due to lack of digestion. Both of these are normal when switching to food, especially a higher quality one, because they need to adjust to having more good stuff to absorb. Here's a great article I found that explains ferret poops very well. be.chewy.com/the-complete-scoop-on-ferret-poop/Have a nice day! PS I think there should be a place with all the good articles people find about ferrets; like a mini ferret archive
