I have two ferrets. Ferrah and Pandy. We got Ferrah 2 weeks ago and Pandy 2 week ago. Ferrah is 5 months old, and Pandy is 2 months old. Ferrah despises Pandy. We introduced them this week and isn’t had worked out to say the least. Ferrah is quite a bit larger than Pandy and constantly chanses Pandy until she latches onto the neck. I immediately remove her but sometimes she gets Pandy so hard on the neck Pandy’s mouth will open up realllly wide like shes about to yelp in pain. There hasn’t been any blood or scabbing, but I’ve also made sure that doesn’t happen as I’m keeping close watch. Any time Ferrah aggreses, I either spray her with spray bottle, put her in timeout, or grab the scruff. The second we put Pandy back in her cage, and its just Ferrah she goes back to normal. She’ll cuddle, follow us, and try to get us to play. I bought Ferrah from a petstore and she was the only one. I’m wondering if maybe she was left alone for so along she just doesn’t like/remember what its like to be around others. Obviously a week isn’t enough time but she appears to be extremely aggressive and territorial. I’d greatly appreciate the advice from you all

Have you tried putting some drainage tubes in house--you can put it behind the couch if you do not like it out on living room floor. I have had a few scattered about. When introducing one of my newbies to my group, she would run into it when they chased her. None would go in after her. www.lowes.com/pd/ADS-4-in-x-10-ft-Corrugated-Solid-Pipe/3306082However, I would not leave house without them being separated as my boy did break a leg of my girl. He was new and she chased him down and they fought. The next day she was holding her front leg up. Vet x-rayed and called it a butterfly break. On the full pic of a leg, it is the triangle shape break towards paw.

You will most likely need to keep them separate for some time. The rule is, no blood, no poop, no foul, but I'm betting that with Pandy only being 2 months old, she may not be big or strong enough to hold her own. It took 3 months for my first female to accept a new boy. Give it some time. Punishment won't be effective. Keep them in separate cages where they can sniff each other for awhile, maybe switch bedding back and forth. If you have a neutral area where they don't normally go, such as another room, or outside (a good choice because there's so many smells it can distract them from each other), introduce them gradually there. Some ferrents have had luck with bathing two newbies together, although YMMV.

So originally I thought thoss punishment techniques were recommended, but after obsessively scanning through all the threads that pertain to me and my situation (I’m on page 35 now) I’ve completed stopped all of those and now just use a sin bin. They’re getting along a lot better. Pandy will actually wrestle back now, but Ferrah still wins everytime. The weird thing is, when I separate Pandy from Ferrh while she’s getting her butt kicked she runs straight back to her for more. Ferrah had a custom 8 feet x 3 feet x 3 feet cage and Pandy was temporarily in some shitty cage called Kaytees ( it was a total piece of junk). They are now in a FN182. Ferrah gets bottom half, Pandy gets top. I have a dedicated ferret room. We have tunnels, 20+ toys, ball pits, lots of pillows , 8ft bean bag, and more. They’re getting better slowly but surely. They’re on marshalls kibble but have been eating pinkies and fuzzies. My plan is to transition them to raw/whole prey. Also, they fight extremely rough and spastic, but there hasn’t been any blood or red marks BUT pandy will squeal when its too rough and thats when I separate but i’ve been letting the fights play out more so Ferrah can establish herself as dominant so she can over herself haha.
I’m going to post pictures of them and was hoping you guys could help me out in telling me what type they are. I appreciate all of the replies!
