I have had my new ferrets for about 2 weeks now although I have had them a lot in the past for many years I have never really had this kind of experience, so I got them from a private breeder who told me they were raw food but for 2 weeks iv been feeding them raw and there poos are black and super sticky to the surface I have to scrape it off with all my might I can’t remember my previous ferrets poos being this dark and hard to clean could this be due to the diet and could the breeder of lied to me about what they have been eating as far as I’m concerned they have been eating something that wasn’t good for them as when I first got them they where all skin and Bones where as now they are a really healthy weight so I’m doubting that they were ever even eating raw food is this just a new diet issue and how long does it Take to adjust

Depending on what they are eating their poo can be dark and sticky. If it's only meat with lots of blood in the meat it will be like that. What are you feeding them? Is it grinds or chunks or raw meat with bone in it? Has this just started recently or when you first got them? You said you got them 2 weeks ago.

Yeah meats with quite high blood contents I started off with just chicken kidney heart bone marrow and stuff like that but when I new there poops weren’t getting better I have just recently turned them over to a soup blend with Similar ingredients but they have only turned like that since I have got them the first day I had them there poops were more brown in colour witch makes me think they were kibble fed

The breeder may have been feeding both kibble and raw or even whole prey. I know with whole prey their poops will be much more formed.

I’m thinking more kibble because there urine is also very yellow and strong I believe that is because of a dry food diet but I am not sure

Well even though the person you got the ferrets off may not have fed them raw, you have them now and feeding them raw. How old are the ferrets? If they are young they will switch very easy as they haven't imprinted on their food yet. Hope this link works. It's the ferret poop chart. It will tell you lots about their poop. Ferret Poop Chart
