Rowdy seems to itch a lot!? When he is sleeping, he'll jump up and I'll hear his little bell going crazy where he is scratching. If he is playing, he stops mid play and scratches or bites on himself. I have checked him over a gazillion times and dont see anything on him (not even dry skin)

Ferrets are itchy little critters.. I wake up sometimes at night hearing the thump thump thump of someone scratching on a shelf. It's normal, the only time I'd worry is if they dig at their ears or have yukky coffee ground looking discharge from the ears. That could indicate ear mites.

Mine have fallen out of hammocks, off cage shelves, stop mid run or play, etc., itch like a madman, then get up and carry on til the next time ;D It's normal. I sometimes honestly think that since they do everything else with such a zest, why not itching?

Although ferrets are somewhat itchy, excessive itching can be related to allergy and/or excessive hormone level (adrenal activity in neutered ferrets)
allergy and adrenal disease can result in elevated histamine responses (itching). The use of a reishi supplement can make a big different in itchiness.

Just out of curiosity, what is the dosage on the reishi supplement?

I use either of these two Brands of reishi:
New Chapter Reshi Host Defense Reishi
I give 1/4 capsule per ferret per day. I recommend starting out giving any supplement in a smaller dose. And I recommend givng the supplement once every 3 days to start. My kids are bigger than many ferrets, so you may no want to give as much as I do.
Both brands come in capsules that can be pulled apart so the powdered contents can be mixed with soup, ground meat, baby food, etc.
