Hey guys I need help. All three of my boys have diarrhea from transitioning to Wysong Ferret food. I read that I need to mix the food with another type of food but I just have no idea what is the best option. I was thinking about doing Wysong with Orijen cat/kitten food. I really want something that i can just go to the store & pick up. Do you guys recommend Orijen with Wysong?? Thanks!

It's not uncommon to get diarrhoea when transitioning. How long ago did you swap food?
Cheers

I did run out of their old food (Zupreem Grain-Free) before fully transitioning them onto Wysong so i know that does have an effect. but i know people say you’re supposed to mix Wysong with another food regardless?

I'm pretty sure someone will be along with suggestions. I don't have any experience feeding wysong epigen, as I put our girls straight onto frakenprey when we got them at 8 weeks old.
Cheers

Years ago, Wysong changed the ingredients in their Epigen kibble and some ferrets didn't tolerate it well and would get diarrhea. They made a "digestive support" variant of the food (supposedly similar to the original formula) that was generally considered the better option for ferrets that couldn't handle the new formula.

Yes, mine says digestive support on the bag.

We are starting to transition. The trick is to do it slowly. Ours all love it, but a sudden diet change will always cause a sudden poop change, no matter what food
