We went to the vet today, yesterday he started dribbling pee, unfortunately he lost the ability to express his bladder himself and it was just coming out as it was full. There were a few things off on his bloodwork and some odd spots on his spine on the xrays, vet said it was likely lymphoma and that we could try pred, but it might not help him regain any movement and with him unable to pee on his own I made the decision to put him down, he's been really depressed the last couple of days not being able to get around and he'd been licking himself a lot trying to stay clean. He was not a happy ferret the last couple days and I hope I made the right choice for him.
I knew it probably wasn't going to be good news at the vet but that doesn't hardly prepare you, even when you've dealt with it before and with just losing Koda a month ago I'm not doing so great. I might not be on for a few days but I'll be back and post a memorial, I just can't do it now.

I'm am so sorry. You're description and difficulties were horribly familiar but I was really hoping that it wasn't and that something else would be found and that your little one would come out ok. I have lit a healing candle for you, may it's glow bring light to you in this dark time. I have also lit a candle for your wee one, to guide his footsteps on his next great adventure. Gentle journey little one....goodbye ciao

I'm sorry. May he rest in peace. You did the right thing by helping him over the bridge. These animals are prone to so many illnesses. It is heart breaking.

Hi I would take him to a vet asp his gait is totally wrong and he is walking as if he is in really bad pain the mouthing and clicking ( though it was hard to hear the clicking ) would send off warning signs to me that something is going on with his teeth /gums too when he was chewing it looked uncomfortable and he did not want to straighten out his body it reminded me of someone with severe abdominal cramps I would say have him checked over asp if you can take care bye for now bev aka crazy lady
