Thanks for adding us to the group! My name is Michelle, a ferret mommy for second time. Tayto is a 2 year old Sable Marshall, Adopted from a busy family. I'm hooked. He is full of energy, affectionate, and brings us so much happiness and laughter every day. Tayto is now fully on Raw Food. Yay ! I look forward to all your valuable information and hearing about your Ferrets ! Warmly, Michelle D.

Hello from the UK, and welcome to the forum.
There certainly is plenty to read here and lot's of very knowledgeable folks who'll help you transition onto raw.
Love your naming convention, we named all of our dogs (mostly retired racing greyhounds) after places we've lived, and when our kids were younger they named their various hamsters, guinea pigs etc after food types, like fudge and raisin!
But our two young female ferrets are Ladrona (Spanish: Feminine Thief) and Bandida (Spanish: Feminine Bandit) as our now grown up daughters partner is Spanish.
Anyway, enough of my wittering
Cheers

Hi Brittany, welcome, feel free to ask questions and browse around, there's tons of info. Love the names for your ferts. My guy's name is literary-ily inspired too, from Ray Bradbury's The Rocket Man. The Holistic Ferret website has explanations of how to switch to and prepare a raw diet here:

Hi! WE R FERRETS! I'm glad you found us. A true animal lover knows how much a pet can mean to a hooman. When I got my first ferret I was hooked, although she turned out not to be as interested in me after I brought her home. within a year I had 7 at once, and my friends and co-workedrs called me the crazy ferret dude. That was 13 years and 22 ferrets ago and I still have 6. I guess they were right They are fascinating and can be quite loving if you give them attention. Back then I took in 3 separate pairs within 6 months. the only 2 I got with papers were 2 yo when i got them. They were fed purina cat chow, and both were dxed with insulinoma within 3 months of coming to me. Happy to have you here!

Hi! I love the names Huck and Finn and how you came up with them!! Great book too!! This is an awesome site to get all kinds of info to switch to raw!! My little guy was given some raw before I got him but after reading this site and all the info I could find on ferrets, I made the switch! I was fortunate as my little guy was relatively easy to switch!!
