My girl Lucille is about 3, she woke us up today with a sneezing fit and has since sneezed a few times. She’s eating, drinking and playing as usual but she has maybe a tad of clear nasal discharge, not even enough to make a drop. I’m very worried because we just lost our boy two weeks ago and I am in overprotective mode. I’m just concerned that every little symptom is something serious and wanted some insight. She also got hiccups a couple times.
No change in cleaners or litter or bedding (we use diluted vinegar and paper pellets) her bedding is little blankets and some t shirts and hammocks. We have stained concrete flooring so there’s no carpet where she plays and we sweep everyday before she comes out so I’m worried it’s something serious. She also just visited the vet last week, was diagnosed with ear mites and is being treated but she had no fever and her weight and everything was good.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has any advice.

I am sorry about your little male passing away. DIP little one I have not experienced that, but I hope someone can help you. Is the litter a little more dusty than usual?

a tiny bit of clear snot is nothing to worry about. sounds like a little hay fever. If it persists you could treat for allergies, but for now just monitor. Allergies can be treated with benadryl, but hold off until it becomes chronic. You'd have to calculate dosage, and it could cause drowsiness. We've had a few sneezey ones that were never treated and they were fine. Mites can cause a variety of symptoms. Give it a week. Maybe the mite treatment was a trigger. Give her a hug for me and keep us updated. I just hate to over treat when ferts are kinda fragile to start.
