Extra virgin olive oil is a mostly monounsaturated oil with anti microbal and antioxidant activity. A wealth of evidence shows that good quality olive oil as a primary dietary fat have significantly lower rates of both heart disease and cancer in humans. I threw away all my oils and use this for my ferrets and family, and sometimes grapeseed oil for the family.

If she likes olive oil I'm sure it'd help when giving her meds. I give anywhere from 1/4 tsp - 1/2 tsp daily. Some days I forget and sometimes I give a little extra (up to 1 tsp).

I give mine 1/4 tsp every other day, they love the oil. I put in their food. I am not sure about the meds, Heather or Sherry (and many others I am sure) would know more, or you could check with the vet by phone
