Finally, a place where I can talk endlessly about ferrets, and no one gets annoyed! Haha. Thanks for adding me to the group! My name is Brittany, I'm 30, and I've been a ferret momma for more than 5 years now. All of my fuzzies have had names inspired by classic literature. I adopted my first girls, Hester ("The Scarlet Letter") and Phoebe ("The Catcher in the Rye"), when they were around 5 years old from a couple who could no longer care for them. I had been doing research on ferret care for months before, and from the moment I brought them home, I was hooked. Their previous owners had been giving them cheap cat food (!), and they had likely been fed poor quality foods their whole lives. They both eventually succumbed to insulinoma, but I had a wonderful year and a half with Phoebe, and three wonderful years with Hester, who passed away last July. I hope I gave them a great last chapter of their lives. They will be forever loved and missed. <3 My fiance and I now have 2 boys, Huck and Finn (after "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", of course). Finn is white, and about a year and a half old. Huck is a sable mask, and just turned one this past weekend. They are full of energy and affection, and bring me so much joy and laughter every day. <3 We are also currently fostering another male ferret, and considering adopting him into our family. I've gotten quite attached to him already, and have even been brainstorming names for him. (I'm thinking Atticus, after the character in "To Kill a Mockingbird" - in keeping with our theme). So we may just have our very own "business" pretty soon! My fuzzies are currently on Wysong Epigen 90, but I've been doing lots of research on switching them to a raw food diet, and I can't wait to read all of the helpful advice and tips from everyone here on the forum. Have a lovely day, all!

Hi, welcome to the forum. This is probably the only place you can talk none stop about ferrets and not get told to shut up π. I bet you adopted Atticus, they are so addictive, I started with 3 and said that's all I need and want, now I at 10 and counting. Hope you enjoy the forum
