Hey there i have a 5 year old hob ferret that has particularly bad teeth (which im waiting to get removed) but in the mean time im trying to avoid solid bone which i know isnt good as feeding him a strict raw diet he needs a lot of bone. SO! i was thinking is it ok to perhaps buy some kind of pure bone & marrow powder formula and mix in with some kind of raw beef mince? if so any suggestions or knowledge on brands?
many thanks for the help! keep up the great work you guys are great!

Bone powder/meal is cooked, so it's not as nutritious unless they add vitamins back into it. You could consider a raw grind that includes the appropriate amount of heart, organ and bone. This way the ferret doesn't have to chew the bone but still gets the dietary benefits.

I would be tempted to try some balanced grinds as well before resorting to bone meals. Now, some people have access to "real" bone meal right off the butcher's blade but this is rare so most bone meals are actually cooked and processed. You can use this as a temporary fix, depending on how temporary this is going to be. ciao
