Has anyone tried these treats? The ingredients are stated as being 100% freeze dried salmon. As an excited parent thinking I finally found a healthy treat for the nuggets, I immediately brought these to them only to be greeted violently. Both of my ferrets took one sniff and opened their mouths wide to the point where I thought they were going to vomit. They coughed, whipped their heads back and forth, and rubbed their noses in the old shirts I have in their cage as floor padding. I’ve never seen such a reaction from either of them to anything. Any ideas? CATMANDOO Freeze Dried Wild Alaskan Salmon Grain-Free Organic Treats for Dogs and Cats - 5 oz Resealable Bag www.amazon.com/dp/B005FFHLUM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_n0ehBb32X1ZHM

Looks fine to me. Also- have they ever had raw or salmon before? If not, they wouldn't recognize them as food.

Salmon can be a strong flavor/smell for them to get used to. The first time I offered my ferrets a salmon fillet, they wildly recoiled away from the plate.

I wouldn't feed Catmandoo personally, or if you do, try to offer it in small amounts and not very often. Their treats aren't actually FDR, freeze dried cooked, but not freeze dried raw. You can read on their website, they mention how the treats are cut into pieces and then fully cooked. There are lots of other companies that will offer actual FDR treats and I feel these are always much better.
