Hi all! Looking for general consensus on whether I have anything to worry about if my neighbors are using ant traps.
I have 3 free roam ferrets who live with me in a small, 4 unit apartment building. I've lived here for almost 4 years and in the last week or two, I've seen a handful of ants in my apartment for the first time ever!! I also had an open, unscreened window for a week or so, before we put the air-conditioner in. After we installed that, I treated the outside cracks/vents and floor on the outside of my door (where my little monsters can't get to) with peppermint oil as a deterrent. Since, I've only seen 2 or 3 in the last week.
But I also saw my upstairs neighbor walking in with boxes of the ant traps that you lay down around the house where the ants take the poison back to the nest. My ferrets obviously don't spend any time in my neighbors apartment and to my knowledge, they don't eat bugs.
Do I have anything to worry about?

It will only hurt the ferrets if they can access the traps.
