my kiddies absolutely loveeee raw egg yolk. theyre obsessed with it everytime they get an egg. i've heard the rule 2 eggs a week, but i believe that's just for whole egg, right? if theyre just getting the yolk, would i be able to give it to them more often? this always confused me haha. i usually give them egg yolk alongside their radcat twice a week. i can't find too much information on this specifically, but what i've found so far has been mixed. i know that egg yolk is good for them but of course too much of anything can be bad.

The whole idea is to balance the egg (nature is balance). Feeding the egg yolk removes that balance. The whole egg should be fed. Mix white and yolk to help allow the egg balance the diet and help dissolve hair. As you said too much of a good thing causes problems. If you feed too much egg, your ferret will begin to exhibit almost adrenal symptoms in coat. Their coat thins, they seem to be more prone to rat tail. Actually, it looks like biotin issues. There is a reason why we say, one egg a week up to 2 eggs a week during shed. You can use a syringe to break up how much they get (to spread it out over the week and use as a treat) but generally speaking there is a reason for the 2 eggs a week. One thing you can do is find someone who sells quail eggs and then they can have more eggs ciao
