So I obviously am wanting to switch to raw, but before I do all of that I want to get my ferrets off the N-bone treats and replace them with chicken jerky treats. So does anyone have any info on how much they would be able to have daily, etc. I know not to season them or anything, and I know it isn't raw, but I just have a chewer and before I am able to get a mentor would this be ok?

Good on you for wanting them off the nasty N-bones! But, jerky won't be good for them either, at least not the store-bought ones, either human or pet as they contain salt. And sadly, cooked meats provide next to no nutrients at all. Why not try your fuzzy with some chicken wings or gizzards? Both work great for chewing and can improve jaw strength for crunching up bones later in the raw diet. If you absolutely must try something in a jerky form, you can put a little bit of salmon oil on a piece of meat and let it air dry (this is if your home is kept at cool temperatures so the meat won't rot instead). My alpha ferret loves making her own "jerky" snacks by letting some of their stashed meat dry that way, and then the boys all raid her stash for it.

There's always the option of a dehydrator for muscle meats- BUT I second Linda, wings (bone in meals in general) or gizzards would be a better option. Something about chewing bones just seems extra satisfying for them.
*high five for making better choices for your floofs<3)

The problem with daily treats of ANY kind is it impacts on the ratio of a balanced diet. They actually don't need treats- we need to give them If you MUST give a treat make it the odd lick of oil for reinforcing good behaviour
