Hi there! My boyfriend and I recently (very recently, Dec 27th) adopted three almost three year old ferrets from a somewhat local shelter. We named them based on the HGTV show Fixer Upper, so we have Chip (male sable), Jojo (female DEW with Waardenburg syndrome), and Lia (female albino). My boyfriend John is very relaxed and leaves the research and question answering up to me since I tend to be more helicopter paranoid pet owner. The first time I caught Jojo in a dead sleep I was so close to an emergency vet visit until she randomly popped up all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Lesson learned. I'm super grateful to have access to this forum and wonderful ferret community, so thank you!

All I can say is good luck lol, ferrets are the most amazing animals, by far the funnest pet I have owned, but boy they sure can be a handful!

Hello and welcome to the group. By now you might be asking what you've gotten yourself into. Patience is everything, lol. To me the most important job s ferret-proofing your house. Don't be afraid to ask questions. There are a lot of members here with a lot of experience. Enjoy your fuzzies!
