Only took 7 years of ferret owning to get a nice cage but here it is! New bedding from Rose @ LFFB, got a few more things coming soon to fill it up and cover the shelves and ramps View of their freshly cleaned room (I tossed out the empty boxes and bags for the sake of the pic, lol) Other side num nums

That's an excellent set up for them- especially for feeding And aren't you now wondering why it took you so long to get an FN? ;D

I use to link anything hangable to their own cage, but I'd prefer they not be splattering meaty bits all over the FN so we are trying this out, the b/f built the bottom of the cage upside down and that's what it's hanging on, the worry is that they could possibly drag it around. Whole prey I throw in the aquarium, but Craven drags it in the cage or Pip into the dig box, I'm a bit squeamish about sticking hooks through whole things and am still trying to figure something out there to prevent feathers and fur going everywhere. I was using pop boxes but we don't buy as much now. And as far as the FN, pretty sure I appreciate it much more than the fuzzies, so far they haven't really tried out the bedding or the top level of the cage, spoiled brats! They aren't really used to climbing ramps so that's been interesting.

Well two of them have started exploring the top finally, Craven's been trying out a new bed everyday I think but Pandora was sleeping up there today too. They must think it's home because they are already dragging food in there. This morning I kept hearing cage rattling, finally went up to see what was going on and Craven was on the top shelf, rolling around on his back, just running his paws down the side. I thought maybe he was stuck up there and couldn't figure it out but he climbed right down and out when I looked at him. He's such a weirdo.

What a lovely set up you have! A question-is it plastic runners you have over the flooring? I might steal that idea Fabulous!!!

Yeah it's just runners, not too attractive but we used to have one that wasn't potty trained for anything so they saved most of my hardwoods, there's a couple corners that got messed up but the floors weren't in perfect shape anyways. Surprisingly, they don't really ever try to get under it or anything. I need to buy another big rug for the middle though.

I think the runners look fine-must keep things easy to wipe up. And protect the wood floors which is what I am confronte with. Congrats on the nice cage and lovely bedding! Don't you just love spoiling the little furkids!

That's so cool. I love the room setup. Hopefully one day I can have a room like that. I think the floor runners are a great idea to help clean up messes
