I have noticed that Fenton will sometimes obsessively groom his paw for no apparent reason. Should I be worried about it, could his paw be hurt or something? I looked at it, and I don't see anything, and when I handle it he doesn't act like it's hurt.
Just wondering if it's normal. I caught him doing it today, this is what he does:

Is it always that paw and is it an obsessive type behaviour? My guys groom their paws similarly. I have a few that groom like cats and wash their faces too while grooming their paws ciao

That has got to be one of the sweetest video's I've seen in a while That boy loves his papa! As for the paw, does he usually do it when he's tired? I'm thinking it could be soothing for him, sort of like a kid sucking their thumb. It doesn't seem to be one spot on the paw, so I'd be surprised if there's a problem with it.

I can't remember if it's always the same paw I will pay closer attention in the future... In the video it's the left paw, so I'll try to remember next time to see if it's the same one. He seems to do it most when he's sleepy so maybe it's just a soothing thing like you say.

I had a couple, Mayhem and Loki come to mind, who would start out by licking and grooming their front paws and eventually look like they were washing their ears. This appeared to be a calming behaviour that they participated in prior to going to sleep ciao
