What stage are they at exactly again? No soup I know, but what size pieces? And definitely try heart and liver/organ meals!

They're eating bone-in meals of rabbit and quail that are about 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch pieces at the largest. I'd like to start introducing chicken bone-in as well as more muscle meat and organs. We'll go for chicken heart today. Also feeding all quail and rabbit is expensive!
I need to balance it out a bit I think because they're getting bone-in every meal right now plus some egg a few times a week. Finn has consistently runny poops which I think may be an issue from the prednisolone. I stopped giving her salmon oil in case it helped but it hasn't.

That's fantastic. They seem to be enjoying it too! They have on "soupy faces".
And yes...rabbit and quail diets are expensive. If you are wanting to add some muscle meat meals, consider adding pork. It's comparatively less expensive and generally well accepted/tolerated.

Thanks kraesmom! I will be in and out until I can get a new phone So glad to see them enjoying their livers! How much egg exactly are they getting? That can cause issues with runny stools as well. For their menu, let's aim at 7-9 bone meals a week, 1.5 each liver/kidney and 1.5 heart. The rest will be muscle meals. I'd pick up some chicken wings, hearts, beef chunks, and pork chunks next.

What I do is decrease the next meal by how much is left from the first Also appetites will be decreasing quite a bit right now. If there is much left at next meal, cut the next meal by half.

Okay will do. Sometimes they'll finish their food early and then they're waiting.. is that okay? Like, for example, Sunday I put out rabbit at 9:00am, and then it was all gone by 4:00pm. Are they fine to wait 5 hours for more food? Finn gets soup with her meds in the evening so she's getting some before the 9:00pm meal.

Oh that's fine. Unless mine are sick, they've got a full 12 hours before if they refuse to eat something

I just had a scare from Echo. I heard weird noises and went to the room they're currently in and she was in the feeding den pawing at her mouth but in a something is stuck kind of way and was flipping her body all around. I grabbed her and noticed she had a piece of bone caught in her back right teeth running length wise and taking up most of her back right teeth. She couldn't shut her mouth and I was worried about her possibly choking on it.. She wasn't choking but she couldn't get it out. She just kept chewing at it and pawing at it but I scruffed her and after a few tries was able to wiggle it loose and get it out of her mouth. Was scary though! She went right back to eating so I think it bothered me more than it bothered her but her paws were soaked from trying to get it out and she had been drooling, etc. :/

That happens Most times they work their way out of it. When I see it though I remove it as well. Only one time I got really scared was when Suki got a piece of lamb's neck that ran across her lower jaw, jammed between either side trapping her tongue down. She couldn't get it out, and I had to use some force to get it out myself.

Okay, got a quiz for you 1. List 2 good sources of taurine. 2. How can you tell if your ferret is getting too much or too little bone? 3. List 3 organs aside from liver. 4. Is it best to feed the egg whites, egg yolk, or the entire egg? 5. What is a Normal Fasting Blood Glucose level?

Okay here are my answers without looking things up:
1. Heart and beef tongue 2. Too much bone will cause constipation or chalky poops. Too little bone causes runny poops. 3. Kidney, Spleen, Gizzards 4. Entire egg 5. I'm going to go with 80 to 100
