I'm not sure if this is something they will accept but it is something you can try. A full meal of grind with no soup, no slivers. Just mixed with some warm water. How much of their diet are grinds going to be ultimately?

Ahh okay I'll give that a shot. And not much of their diet ultimately. Maybe a couple meals a week.

Alright. We can use the grinds as the next "step up" as it were

Here is the consistency of their current soup: imgur.com/a/MyXMD. It was the mix of turkey grind, chicken bigger slivers, and soup. They turned down the 100% grind with water added. I can push it but they're eating this so figure I'll just keep adding percentage of grind? I'm also not sure how I go from chunks to bone-in. That seems like a big jump. I'm sure we're nowhere near that but was curious about it. Do people just cover some cut up chunks with soup?

That pic is actually better than I has expected! What size are the slivers now? In comparison to a quarter say. As for moving from chunk to bone in- we build up jaw strength with the chunks so they can ,)

Oh sorry! I didn't realize I had missed a question. The slivers in comparison to a quarter are probably about a 1/4 of the size. maybe a little bigger than that. I've been slowly adding more and more chunks and these days we're over 50% chunks/grind mix so I'm starting to make them a little bit bigger.
As for the babies, I've been spoon feeding Rogue soup twice a day since she's been sick and dehydrated. I'm somewhat bummed to be doing that because she is my pickiest and will go backwards I'm sure and strike when she gets back on her normal frankenprey. Calamity has been striking some too when she sees Rogue has soup and she has rabbit chunks lol. Plus they're only eating about 4 oz combined each day this week which seems way low but maybe I'm seeing the spring eating drop. They're enthusiastic about the 4 oz so I'm trying not to worry about it. They do clearly have some form of appetite.

Do you think that they would transition faster if I went ahead and let them all four eat the same thing? I've been doing my darnedest to keep their food stuff separate but maybe I should just cave and let all 4 of them eat the same thing and retransition the babies even though they don't need it. Maybe it'll teach Echo and Finn that bigger chunks are food, etc. Whatcha think? I'm perfectly fine doing it how we're doing it but was just thinking if there's any chance it'd be faster with them all on the same mix. The only downfall there is the babies wouldn't be getting their 3 proteins a week thing.... Any thoughts on that?

You are definitely seeing spring drop And putting them all on the same thing may make it go faster.

Alright. I'll put them on the same thing and see what happens! Rogue and Calamity better not get any ideas about staying there!

The ideal is since they already eat larger pieces, keep giving some of that while also providing the smaller pieces the new ones eat. Hopefully the newbies will start to mimic the others.

So I think we're doing pretty well, perhaps? I have them all on the same food and it's been a combination of chicken soupy with either bone-in rabbit that's been smashed into really fine pieces, pork grind, or chicken thigh. It's about 50% soup and 50% whatever form of chunk. I've been putting bigger and bigger pieces in it but Echo especially thinks it's not food and goes and stashes it. But at least she'll pick it up which she wasn't before. They're eating a combined total of 12-15 oz each day. I'm not sure what to do from this point other than to keep slowly increasing the size of the chunks? I do put in a couple bigger chunks for the babies but still smaller than what they normally get.

Do the same as for the others Start reducing soup and increasing piece size. The idea right now is to get soup out of the daily equation. Mine still get some every couple of weeks but that's it.

Yes, sorry! Crazy how time flies! I think they're doing well but still moving at a snail's pace. I do notice that they're eating little pieces with less hesitation than they were and there are less pieces thrown to the side of the bowl after they eat. In terms of consistency their meals are about 1/3 soup, 2/3 pinky nail size pieces with a handful of bigger ones for the babies. I have given them bits of bone-in in the meals as well. Some rabbit and quail. They seem to be doing well with those too. It definitely seems to be more about consistency than taste. I think maybe I'll start trying 1/4 soup and see how they do with that possibly. Combined they're eating between 10 and 15 oz a day. It really varies and not entirely sure why.
