I'm glad they are giving antibiotics. It should help, even if a little. Hopefully it doesn't end up being something like ECE *crosses fingers* Stoic little creatures they are, we don't see how sensitive to change they are until their poops show it. Everyone looks good other than that- have you still been feeding Missy? Or have you been able to stop?

Flints poops are back to normal!!! Nice and brown ๐ But I uh realized Iโve been making a bit of a mistake with their soup. Iโve been putting in 2oz of hearts and 2oz of liver instead of 1. I know that extra heart is fine but Iโm freaking out a bit about the liver. I didnโt add any into this batch. Might explain the recent runny poops ๐
Anyways, Missy has been eating on her own, no help required. She is sort of a binge eater. She pretty much eats one meal a day but packs away around 2+oz. Iโve also noticed a huge change in her since we got Ellie. Sheโs been awake and playing a lot more and itโs so cute watching the 2 of them. Mommy and baby โค๏ธ Also, more poop talk! Do ferret poops look different when they eat actual bone? Ellieโs are kind of hard to describe. Iโll post a pick next time I see it. Itโs not seedy but has... texture? And congrats on the baby ratties! Iโve been creeping on your posts โบ๏ธ Good luck and it looks like your doing awesome!

Flint- I'm glad to hear that! So, as long as you correct the recipe you're fine. Imbalances are a major problem over longer periods of time. Not that I'm saying it's okay to always feed too much liver all of the time (you know as well as I do that's not the case ), but you should be okay if you just make the recipe like normal. Missy- That's completely fine, my ferrets usually do the same thing. I rarely see them eat much more than a few bites as 'snacks'. As she gets older I would watch for signs of Insulinoma and possibly get a BG monitor for home so you can check her every so often since she only likes to eat once a dayโค Ellie- Bone in poops look funky huh? Cool thing- if you take toilet paper or a baby wipe and squish it, you'll see the pieces are rounded AND soft. These are bone in pieces that their digestive tract has done some work on (stomach acid is cool!). These are completely normal! Also, thanks! the squeakers are pretty adorable. Thyme should be popping hers out soon too ^-^

Ummm, so I might be paranoid but could you take a look at some of these poop pics? Itโs the yellow and green colours that concern me. Iโm not sure whose they are but I think the 2 similar ones in the second pic are Ellieโs.

The only one that looks a bit concerning to me is the green poop, any more like that one? Flint is AWESOME! GO FLINT GOOOOO! Some times ferrets will eat a new thing if they see someone else eating it ๐๐๐ Missy still chowing down?

Oh yeah! Poops are looking pretty good too! There were a couple of slimy ones today but they all were a nice normal colour! ๐
Flints appetite has really increased and heโs back out with the girls. His coat is finally starting to thicken up too! Good news all around ๐
Got the new cage today too! Hurrah for cyber Monday!!! We donโt use a cage very much but with the intro of Ellie and Flint being quarantined it became sort of important to have a half decent one. Now off to decorate!

1. Name: Ellie 2. Weight: 760g 3. Ferret has eaten โ+3ozโ per day 4. Stools: Vary between a bit crumbly to a mix of diarrhea/mucus. 5. Activity levels: Omg, so hyper! Sheโs awake for around 5-8 hours a day and all she does is eat and play 6. Weekly menu: Monday am-chicken wing pm- Chicken hearts Tuesday am- turkey wing pm- 50/50 chicken heart and liver soup (she doesnโt seem to like this very much) Wednesday am- turkey wing Pm- turkey wing Thursday am- chicken wing Pm- Chicken heart Friday am- chicken wing Pm- 50/50 Chicken heart and liver soup (still canโt find another organ but Iโm working on it) Saturday am- chicken wing Pm- beef chunks Sunday am- chicken wing Pm- chicken hearts 7. Picture: Edit: I also wanted to add that Ellie is not catching onto the feeding den very well. She is obsessed with stashing her food in the bathroom and in their fav sleeping spot. Every time I see her try to run away I put her back in the feeding den... but she just moves all of her food to the back corner. Iโm also finding pieces of bone EVERYWHERE.

I found beef kidney!! ๐ค๐ค๐ค Ellie is having liver and kidney soup tonight!
Missy and Flint: they will leave some of chunks from their food behind in their bowl but Flint will eat the chunks by themselves if I leave them there, Missy wonโt. So I think Flint is ready to move over to Ellieโs food now. He finished off the the left over chunks tonight so I put some chicken wings in his dish. He did some humming and hahing but eventually went for it!

I'd probably chalk the weird poops down to detoxing then I'm so glad to hear that Flint is getting back to normal! <3 Yay for the new cage! I bet it looks fabulous! Ellie- Bahahahahahahaha, endless energy sounds about right! Liver really seems to often be a miss with most ferrets. (I can't blame them, it smells awful.... and then there's Croc, who loves liver ) Wait, why so many heart days? This is probably why she's going back and forth between a bit crumbly and diarrhea poops The only other thing I can really say to help her not stash everywhere is grabbing some metal shower curtain hooks and tethering her food. Missy- YAY! I'm glad we got that figured out. You're gonna freak out when summer comes around. They eat SO MUCH LESS. I know some people with females that eat like .5oz in the summer. lmao The heart may be messing her up a bit, you can add a bit more of bonemeal/eggshell to her food and see if that helps. Flint- Still fabulous here!<3 Super proud of this boy! RE beef kidney- YAY! I don't know why, kidney just seems to be the easiest to find. Question- how big are the chunks that Missy isn't eating and how many are there?
