How did your vet diagnose IBD? I read somewhere that there is no sure way, because IBD on a blood test could be another disease mix up. What's the best way to have a ferret diagnosed for this without spending a crap ton of unnecessary money. Also, I feel like I need to get my ferrets tested for everything that could go wrong with ferrets. What's the necessary tests they need? I have two ferrets so I need to budget and know what's necessary and what really isn't.
I'm definitely getting my ferrets tested for IBD. Anything else I should look out for.
(One has adrenal already and the other insulinoma)

You can have a biopsy done. Hover my vet will diagnose based on symptoms and response to medications.

@sherry that wouldn't be harsh on them? That freaks me out a little.
