The course ground whole chicken would work well for ONE of the necessary proteins, yes You need a bare minimum of 3 different proteins, preferably more if possible

Ok. So if I bought two more coarse ground of another protein would that be sufficient? Do I need to buy hearts separately or is the mix ok? With the 3 proteins do I just feed one each day and then rotate again?

Hi I agree with sherry I would go for the course ground chicken mix I would also add in the chicken necks to mix it up I would look for cubed meats or whole prey meats you need to look for as varied a diet as you can its suprising what you can pick up in supermarkets being discounted simply cut into portions and freeze ! lol as long as its non salted meats yes if you have three rotate if they had say chicken on monday pick another different meat for tuesday and so on ( I tend to give mine chicken the day following a liver meal as it helps dry the black tarry poop) lol good luck take care bye for now Bev

Ideally they would be fed a mix such as crazylady suggests. If however you prefer to stick strictly with commercial grinds, then at least 3 whole animal proteins(they will have 10%organ, 10-15% bone, and the rest meat) is a must. I would feed a different one daily if at all possible. What you can do is thaw, portion out into daily amounts, baggie and refreeze.
