I know this is a ferret forum but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about feeding a raw diet for dogs or knows of a place I can get reliable info?

What exactly are you looking for about dog nutrition. It's very similar to your ferret, with much of the same requirements ciao

I just wasn't sure if dogs needed more things than ferrets. I don't think dogs are strict carnivores like ferrets. So I wanted to find a meal plan like they have here for ferrets.

Yes, and no, dogs unlike cats and ferrets are considered a scavenging carnivore instead. This means that while they primarily eat meat, they can survive on plant-based. Key word there being "survive". But this actually ends up creating more issues than not, since people end up mistaking dogs to be omnivores instead of carnivores. While a dog would be able to remain alive on mainly plant-based, they will not do well, plant-based diets do not contain all the nutrients dogs require, which they easily would obtain through a meat diet.
At the end of the day, a meat-based diet is more species appropriate to also allow dogs to thrive, versus just survive. This doesn't of course mean that some dogs won't also steal some fruit or veggie snacks at times. I've had dogs who hoarded piles of apricots as I was growing up, and the rescue dogs my parents had would kill you for a banana.

If planning a raw diet for a dog, give pretty much the same meal plan as for the ferrets. Watch stools for clues to cut back bone, increase muscle etc.

Are chicken thigh bones too thick for a dog to eat?

Chicken thigh bones are no problem for a dog. Mine will eat turkey legs which r denser.
