Today I brought home a spunky little girl that I have named Meeka. After a couple of scuffles, I'm super excited to see them like this (:

What!? Why were you so worried? Haha. They are doing amazing already! I'd still keep an eye on them for a couple days, but they seem to be doing wonderful already. You might not even have a struggle at all. They look gorgeous together, I'm sure they'll be very happy fuzzbutts.

He was going pretty hard on her when I first put them in the cage together...so I let them run around my room for another 2 hours and put them back in...he ate and went straight to bed. She clawed at the cage for awhile but then snuggled into him. It made me so happy to see them sleeping together!!

And I also have a tendency to overreact and be overly cautious with my babies...but I think better safe than sorry!! 😊

Nah, you're doing just fine. Ferrets are pretty rough little buggers with one another... my two are super bonded.. but that doesn't mean one won't try and drag the other by the head from the kitchen all the way into the bedroom. Or chase each other so hard, they will just head bang right into the credenza in the living room while trying to duck in under it at full speed. I swear, they will give anyone gray hair well before their time. But those moments... the ones where they are cuddled up together.. or giving each other kisses.. I live for those. PS. When it comes to ferrets.. there's no such thing as too cautious. Always better off safe, rather than sorry at the end of the day, that's for sure.

I'm so happy I was able to bring another baby home so he can have some to grow old with. I never want him to feel lonely.

Isn't she so tiny?! We have to completely change up our ferret proofing because she is fitting into places Loki could never fit into!!
I love her! She's a wonderful addition to our family.

We had to do the same with Athena. Athena still easily fits in under doors, but this isn't a big problem at least. She used it as a maneuver to outrun and hide from Loki while they play, if the study door is closed, it needs to be opened for her to go after her. Luckily, as a graphics designer I can work from home, so I'm basically always around for them. She's certainly an adorable little mite.

What the fudge is that? A cat toy? Where'd you get it and how much did it cost? I'll be honest.. I'm sure mine will rip the butterfly right off of the line and try to eat it, or try dragging the whole unit away using it, so I might be a little concerned in them trying it.. but darn it.. that excitement, I just gotta see it for myself.

we got it at either petsmart or petco. it was maybe $30? Loki goes straight for the wire and tries to drag the entire thing by Meeka hasn't figured that part out yet. We originally bought it for Lokes but he wasn't very interested in it. My boyfriend broke that out tonight and we were stoked to see how much Meeks likes it! you should definitely try it out with your babies! almost everything is safe with the proper supervision, as long as they are watched when they are playing, everything is good (: thats been the rule I've chosen to live by haha

I think I'll definitely see if I can find it, or similar, kitty gets his canned foods from both those stores since he's so picky, I don't know when I'll ever get him switched to raw too. If they don't take to it or try to just damage it instead, I could always return it for something else, I think both stores do that 30-60 day return policy. Most of my babies' toys are all unsupervised toys that just get checked over each day (takes me easily 30+ minutes since they have SO MANY stuffies, crinkles, balls, etc.) for any possible damages and everything they shouldn't have is kept out of reach since they free-roam from the mornings till midnight and I just check up on them throughout the day, or they'll come check in on us several times. But I think something like that might be a good toy for when they are physically busy having a playtime with us.
