My hubby and I were at a Tai Pan Trading store the other day, and as we know, Easter is coming up fast, but it wasn't until yesterday that most of the main stores began carrying Easter goodies in earnest. I was planning on buying in bulk some of the plastic eggs that go on sale after Easter to make a big ball pit box to fish toys out of. But of course, I wasn't quite sure how well my two were going to take to it. So imagine my surprise when I saw the store was doing a 10 packages for $1 sale. So I grabbed 20 packages that each contained 12 little plastic eggs each (so 240 total) and it cost me $2. Suffice to say, the plastic on these are probably not the highest quality as I've seen thicker plastic eggs before that will likely last me much longer, but it worked to test my theory. So come after Easter, I will be buying quite a bit of plastic Easter eggs to replace these. But just look at that happy little ferret! Loki has been having a blast in it for days now, but he's still not letting me get much more than a blurry picture here and there... sigh. He's too busy fishing out jingle balls from between the eggs.

@machan He absolutely loves it! And it's so fun to watch him. He'll be all nestled in the eggs, lying on his back and trying to grab one of the eggs to hold, and since it's such a smooth plastic, it keeps popping out of his little hands to his frustration. I ended up helping him by handing him some, but he just ended up shooting them out like little rockets.

That looks like so much fun! I was debating on doing that with my ferrets. Only I may just stuff some of them with candy/coin/toy/sticker for my kids to hunt and then give them to the ferrets once empty. Maybe go to several Easter egg hunts too. I have 6 kids, so eggs can add up fast. Ha!
That is such an awesome deal on eggs though!!!

@rosethejinx Haha, I don't have any kids, other than my furbabies, yet. So I just went out and got them some, but I come from a big family, so yes, those eggs will add up pretty fast, and your ferrets will love you for it. The more, the better!
PS. If you need extras and can't get a good deal before Easter, wait for the after Easter sales, places like Walmart, Target, etc. will try and get rid of some stock before sending them back to the suppliers.

LindaM I can wait. I am ordering some biodegradable packing stuffs for them to play in. So holding out for those sales is not an issue. I have an Auntie who works at Meijer (Like a Walmart but better food selection) and I could have her grab me some that Monday plus I would get her small discount on top of it! Saving even more! :-D

@rosethejinx That's an excellent idea! For ferrets.. make use of any and all discounts you can get EVERYWHERE, lol. My little buggers are so spoiled.. they get new toys every week, they basically own their own linen closet of blankets and goodies, so if I can get a discount somewhere, I take it. Their food costs me more than enough to make up for any discount I'd have gotten somewhere, lol.

Wish we could use those eggs. They're so much cheaper than ping pong balls. But unfortunately, Mogli chews them into pieces. I wanna getta bucket of ping pong balls to rotate out with leaves in their pool.

unclejoe Aww, sorry to hear that. I'll admit, it was a concern I had too, especially looking at the type of plastic, as I said, I've seen more durable ones, which I will be replacing these with too. But my two luckily don't break them, and whenever Loki tries to bite one, they just shoot out of his little hands. I looked on Amazon for bulk ping pong balls at first, and there are some on there that are decently priced actually, I just wish they came in more of a mixed color variety bag for the same prices as a single color bag.
