Hi there everyone. My name is Liz. As of right now, I don't have a ferret. I'm probably going to be getting one in late summer/beginning of fall after I move into a new apartment and settle down. So far, I've just been being a frugal pennypincher and buying tons of stuff on clearance from various pet stores, and I have pretty much everything except for the cage and hammocks itself! So I'm almost there! I'm very interested in learning about ferrets in general, and the raw food diet. I especially want to learn about the latter BEFORE I buy my ferret, so I can get him/her onto it ASAP! I've been lurking here a while, but I thought it was about time I finally signed up... So...hello! P.S. The captcha said "umbrella corporation"! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS PLANNING?

Thanks for welcoming me!
I've had plenty of experience prior. I have a neighbor who rescues ferrets, and has anywhere from 8-12 of them at a time. She's home all day on disability so she has all day to play with her ferrets, and often times I came over to visit them. Goodness are they ever balls of energy.
But I couldn't help falling in love with them. <3 I'm going to be so excited to get a little fuzzball that I can play with when I get home from work.

Welcome to the forum, and kudos for doing research first; with these little things, it's vital.
Do be careful regarding clearance items from pet stores, and all items for ferrets. There are some stuffed toys where the stuffing is treated with a fire retardant, and that stuff has been known to kill ferrets making their insides necrotic.
Best of luck!
