Since I've had Mako, hes been musty. But today he does not smell a bit. It litterally disappeared. He eats whole prey and raw meat. Can anyone explain how his natural musky smell would disappear within a few hours? Is this normal?

Has he changed from kibble to raw recently? Changing bedding frequently helps remove their smell too. I do not know if the seasons have anything to do with that or not.

Does he have a dig box, or go outdoors? There are any number of reasons for scent to suddenly appear to go away.

Yes he was on marshalls food. When I brought him home, I switched to raw and whole prey. He was musky one day, then by the afternoon he had no smell. I did some searching here on the forum. He smells like a corn chip so im assuming it's from the diet change.
