There are many people in the group who know that I picked up a new female fuzzy today and shes pretty skinny.
I'm looking for good recipes for her that will help her catch up to the other girls. She was on Marshalls kibble ICK and I started her on some raw boost instinct and attempted soup but she didn't seem all too interested.
Her birthday is July 10th so she falls between Miska (July 3rd) and Shila (July 31st) as far as age. I weighed her tonight and according to the scale shes exactly 1 lb but I had grabbed her since she tried to move so I'm pretty sure thats a little over.

Since she is new, she may have those too excited to eat moments too. Just keep trying with her and don't give up. Raw soupies is a great idea to start on the raw for her. If you need to though, when she's struggling to eat anything at all and you worry she might starve herself, you can buy some of that awful crap to give to her and slowly keep adding in some of the better kibble you have for your others until she's at least switched onto the good kibble entirely, since she at least would know to eat kibble. I would continue to try the raw soups though, maybe with a dash of salmon oil, see if she might try it then? Or a little drizzle of raw egg on top or mixed into the soup could help as well.

You're very welcome, I'm sure we all want to see this little mite pick up some meat on her bones, she's so fragile looking right now.
My little Athena was hard to switch in her first 2 weeks.. I had to keep drizzling a bit of raw egg yolk on all her meals to get her eating, but it definitely worked for me. And soupies worked like a charm too.. start kinda runny at first, and slowly make thicker as you go and she eats it. For me it got to the stage that even now I could just call "Soup" and both my ferrets will storm into the kitchen expecting either soup or some type of food, lol.

This morning has gone fantastically. I made soupies like I usually do everyday but this morning I put a whole egg in for them. I honestly didn't expect Akira to try it but after seeing the other 2 girls and my foster chowing down she joined in. She was scarfing it down like she will never eat again. I'm just happy to see her openly eating.
