Here is a vet in Beaverton that will implant your ferrets as preventative northwestexoticpetvet.com/and one in Hillsboro www.hillsborovet.com/services/ferrets-pets/Yep Katrina is one of my vets. When I spoke to the front office she said maybe depending on how many she had, though I spoke to Katrina and she said she would. The other vet I go to told me something completely different. I hate when they do that I always make sure I talk to the Vet, Most of the people that answer the phone don't know enough. Some are good about telling you they don't know and will have the vet call you. Some will pretend they know everything and give you false info. I always make sure I have heard it from the Vet themselves before crossing the vet off my list.

Yep msav that's what I ended up doing. I get they were trying to help me but it wasn't the answers I was looking for so I emailed my vet.

I was able to convince my vet to allow off-label use of the Des implant as a preventive treatment by providing the Rene Gandolfi speech (with citations of relevant timestamps) and an email I got from Doctor Cathy Johnson-Delaney when I emailed her clinic asking about research promoting use as a preventive. Thanks! Hopefully increased use of the implant this way will lead to more vets seeing the benefits.
