Transitioning a stubborn ferret to better food + More

hey guys! I am new to all of this raw feeding diet in ferrets (makes me wish I had known for kibs) 

After finding out there is a lot of unnecessary ingredients in the Marshall Ferret foods I am trying to make a switch with Merlin to Natures Variety grain free Freeze Dried... I got this food literally just yesterday and read to slowly introduce the new food with the old food.. ok.. well I noticed today when feeding Merlin he is picking out the old food like a child does when picking out just the Marshmallows from his Cereal lol I even tried adding Ferretone to it and still no luck.. so my question is.. how to transition him to this.. and where do I start with raw feeding? As for the freeze dried, start by rehydrating and when soft like a canned cat food, put ferret and flat dish on your lap and try spoon feeding. Hopefully the ferret will like it and start eating on his own. If not, then dab some on his nose so he has to lick it off and taste it.

gosh thank you so much for all of this! I will be doing a lot of reading this afternoon as well as look into the mentor.

on a side note... I did get him to start eating the new food... I did have to take out all of his "marshmallows" to get him to do so but its a start.
