I have an about 8 month old ferret I just got, I am transitioning her to a commercial raw that my other ferret(6 month old boy that has taken immediately to) she seems to dislike the chunks, I mixed it with a little water and she was taking it from the spoon well but didn't seem interested in eating a lot of it. Should I try every couple hours to feed her? I don't want to keep feeding her the kibble the people gave me but will if I have to so she still eats. I know kibble and raw at the same time isn't good in a small time frame as well

Did you post thsi to facebook? I feel like I've answered this before.. unless it was a similar question, it's a hot day so I'm bleh at remembering. Feeding frequently is a good idea. Helps with exposure to a new food. New tastes, new smells, new textures, ferrets need to adjust to all this strange stuff so this can take some time. At least you've been doing fairly well so far since she is taking it from a spoon. That's a good progress, Continue and she'll get better. She probably needs to learn how to eat this strange new food too.

Yes I did post to the fb group. I know different people access different avenues of communication and the more opinions I get the better I always say! Thank you! They've been napping for a couple hours so I'm gonna give them a little longer and try her with food again, the boy filled his tummy before their nap and left some in the bowl so I'm thankful for that

Update! I woke up a little early this morning, they were both out like a light last night and did not want to wake up for feeds lol she is eating the raw ON HER OWN! I put the bowl in there and she ate for a good maybe 30 seconds and walked away proceeding to wipe her face in the litter box but she ate it on her own! As long as she is eating on her own she should be okay with no kibble right?

I think you can get rid of the kibble yeah. It's so good to hear that they're both eating the raw from the get-go without any troubles.

I fed them again a little while ago and she went RIGHT to it and started chowing! So proud!
