I haven't made the switch yet, but I am still looking around for places to get raw meat from. Due to lack of transportation, I think my safest option would be to order online. Is My Pet Carnivore a good site to order from? It says my area will be a two day shipping. Is that too long? Will the meat thaw out too much?

Though I'm not familiar with the site, I know most places that ship you raw will use heavily insulated boxes and dry ice, so it keeps the product in good condition during the shipping process.

That's where I order from. They have great customer service. The boxes don't have dry ice and I'm not sure about insulation. The meat is frozen solid when it gets to me though! I live down in Florida and it only takes 3 days to get to me. The stuff they give comes in convenient packaging and they to their best so that their whole ground proteins meet the 80/10/10 ratio. I definitely recommend them.

Some companies ship with ice packs instead. I buy mice from Rodent Pro, and they ship in a normal cardboard box that has several layers of ~ 1 inch thick fiberglass(?) style insulation and chunks of dry ice. Even when shipped in the dead of Summer, everything stays well frozen.
