I bought some Primal Freeze Dried Raw Cat Nuggets with the intentions of teaching my 7 month old ferret Cookie to eat raw (he weighs about 3lbs) , But I have no idea how much to feed and how often. Also, is it possible to only feed raw every other day because I'm only 17 and I fund all of my own ferret expenses, so it might get a bit pricy for me. Thanks!

For the fdr, rehydrate before feeding. Give her about an ounce(and you may have to teach her it's food by putting her on your lap and spoon feeding). If she eats that, give more. One thing- fdr is THE most expensive method of raw feeding there is. Far cheaper to feed regular raw meats from the store.

Yeah I know it's expensive, but it's the only raw I can get him to eat *sigh* I might use it to try to get him to eat other forms later. Maybe frozen.

When I got my two youngest ferrets, I transitioned them off kibble cold turkey with a thin soup made of FDR and ground meat. I had to hand feed them a little before they would eat it themselves, but it didn't take very long.
