I'm soooo glad he's okay. I thought for sure I was going to hear bad news today. Yay! I never heard of the swinging thing. Do you just do that when you think they're choking? Is that the heimlich thing you were talking about? How do you do it? Thank you! I'm relieved too, he's back to his shenanigans. Yes, that is the Heimlich I was talking about (for choking in small animals). Place them on their back upside down on your arm, you support their head in your hand and their entire body with your arm and you swing them downward holding them in place with your other hand. I haven't searched the forum but it may be on here or a video on youtube. I would consider a ferret first aid book for emergencies if you don't own one. Luckily the people on this forum are very helpful and know a lot.

That's great to hear! I'm so glad your guys are doing good now, hopefully there will be no more bug noshing! I've been lucky thus far with my ferrets, that only my cat is the idiot who tries to eat anything else that moves, for good or bad, lol. My cat too! .....and weird plants outside. (headwall) He has come inside with his mouth slack and drool dripping out from a red sticky flower here (vet said they are bitter lol) and also with a swollen mouth from a scorpion sting.

That is SUCH good news! And yes insects (actually the hard parts of the shell) can cause some of them issues.
