Was brainstorming ideas for how to re-purpose an old dig box that is currently not of interest. Had an ah-ha moment when I put a pillowcase over it. Put bin inside pillowcase, turned on its side and put on the top (half) level of the FN with the bottom of the bin facing the back of the cage and the open side facing the front, and laid another blanket within (inside the bin and inside the pillow case) trailing out of the open end of the pillowcase. Boom, perfect snuggle cave/hidey hole for sleepy ferrets. A new place to explore/hide food/nap. Two happy ferts are currently nesting inside. I plan on moving it to different locations in the cage with each weekly deep clean. Edit: Forgot to mention, have the "door" (opening of the pillowcase) facing away from the ledge if it's on a half level so sleepy ferts don't wander out and fall down the level! I'm sure many experienced ferrents have already thought of this, just wanted to share some inspo for us newbies!

That is an excellent idea Repurposing things with ferrets can be a lot of fun, because even moving the position of things can mean it is brand new and fun again lol
