This is great. You should definitely be a proud momma. So I'd try the next protein with her, while she is feeling adventurous! Are you going to be able to incorporate whole prey any time soon? The earlier the easier, but if not it's fine

I was actually thinking of skipping to live prey I've been pricing around on frozen prey, which I kinda like Hare Today, I just hate that I have to order 10 lbs. But I think Petco has live feeder mice, I might pick up a few and see how they do. I don't know what to do if they don't "kill it" do you think I should try frozen first? Should they hunt separately?

Great! Yea, feed them separately at first. Most do it in the bathrub If they can't handle the kill, be ready for cervical dislocation. You can find some instructional videos online. But definitely be ready to take care of it. Live can be a great form of enrichment and encourage them to eat the prey. Frozen is easier because no need to kill it, so it's really up to you When do you think you'll be getting any mice? Are you looking to do all whole prey, or raw + some mice every week?

Raw + Some Prey. More as a treat due to the location of Petco and the costs of shipping. If we get a freezer for them I'd consider switching to whole prey only. Until then I'll still be doing raw. I wonder if Petco has frozen... that's a question I'll have to ask when I call tomorrow.

My petco has frozen, but it's very expensive. Like $5 for 2 pinkies. Not sure what adults cost. But if it's more of a one or twice a week treat, it might be easier and cheaper than ordering online. See if you have any reptile stores around - they usually have way better pricing

Jude was the brave one, I figured he would be. He picked it up and walked around a bit then put it in the litter box. Don't ask me why, but atleast he put it in his mouth.

You will probably need to scruff and stuff a bit. The texture is pretty different from other stuff.

Ugh that stuff is awful... I don't want to touch it >.< lol if they wake up and don't eat I'll try that, but otherwise I don't really want to touch it. lol. I barely turned the processor on and it was mush. Gross looking and smelling stuff.
