Hello!
Dear friends, I and my Siberian weasel (something between a ferret and a marten, Latin name is 'Mustela sibirica') Tima need your help. I'm from Russia, but going to Ljubljana to study for 2 years and want to take Tima with me: I just can not leave him or give him to other people.
I am going to rent an apartment in Ljubljana, but while I'm looking for it, I will live in a hostel and pets are not allowed there.
And now I'm looking for a place where Tima could stay until I've found an apartment. It must take not more than 3 weeks. Tima can not be left in a "dog/cat hotel" as he needs a special cage with narrow distance between the bars.
And that's why now we with Tima are looking for someone to let Tima to stay for MAXIMUM 3 weeks in a place like:
- a closed (with a door) and empty balcony
- empty room
- And as I can bring his cage with me to Slovenia, also we will be really glad if someone let a place where to put this cage with Tima also for maximum 3 weeks. You won't need to let him out. He needs just a place for his cage to wait until I've found an apartment. This place also might be a corner in a garden - Siberian weasels are not afraid of even - 20 C•. They are really Siberian
Unfortunately Tima's potential host won't be able to play with him or stroke him: Tima is not afraid of strangers but needs a lot of time to get used to new people. He can not meet and play with other animals as he needs a lot of time to get used to them too. Everything and everyone unknown provokes him to attack in first place and only later Tima tries to understand is this animal/man dangerous or not . So it's possible to play with him but only when Tima is in his cage And still to watch his behavior is also very interesting.
Tima is microchipped, clean, healthy and has all compulsory vaccination.
If you can help us in this situation or know someone who could help, please write me on yamsh.a@yandex.ru and tell your cost. If you know a "ferrets hotel" in Slovenia, write me too, please. I can not find anything in the Internet.
You can see what a Siberian weasel looks like in Tima's Instagram: Tima_the_weasel.
Thanks a million!
P.S. we with Tima arrive to Ljubljana on 31 of October, so Tima needs a place to stay up to 21-22 of October. But I really hope to rent an appartment as soon as possible
