Recently, the local place that we order our ferret food from has been forgetting our orders.
I am getting fed up. We tried Bravo basic but my ferrets are picky and wouldn't eat it.
Has anyone tried Hare Today? I just don't want to order 10 pounds of the food and then my ferrets not eat it.
Also what foods do your ferrets love from there?

Luv hare today I buy all guinea pigs there. Don't get huge ones. I mean they are fine for feeding the ribs and have nice big organs, but the leg bones are too dense for my ferrets. Hard to skin too if huge and older. I like hare today because their animals are very clean. My babies will not eat the rabbits(again watch for huge sizes--- dense bones). It is strange that they will eat rabbits from farmers market. But yours might like them. Just put in an order from Southern Florida Rodents---added a couple of rabbits from there. Going to see how they like them. Free shipping for east coast states with a $100 purchase from them. Not northeastern States.

Another question: I finally put in my order for Hare Today.
I know with raw feeding frankenprey it is 2 oz of heart and 2 oz of organ.
I ordered whole prey ground up, so how does that work? Can you point me in the right direction? I am going to look around.

Bump.
I do not feed ground but others do. So they will be more qualified to answer your question, but ground from Hare Today I heard is complete.
Things to consider though: 1. Brushing teeth or following with bone in meals-- as ground, i do not believe cleans teeth.
2. Give variety. They get tired of the same foods every day.
3. Because ground loses taurine , I do not know if people give hearts to supplement or not.
Hope others chime in to help u on this.

thank you.
I got ground with bones, organs, and bones. I will be planning on feeding chicken necks, wing tips, etc. to clean the teeth.
I am just not sure about the organs.

Bump. The organs are in there. So no need to worry about organs. I wonder about loss of taurine, so if I was to feed ground, I would give heart snacks every week, but will see what others say,as it may not be necessary.

Thanks. I'll just give them 2 oz of hearts still. They love the duck and pheasant so far. Not particular about the whole prey grind but I'm trying.

I personally don't have much experience in grinds, but let me tag Sherry, as I am also curious about this.

If they are whole animals grinds i'd not worry TOO much. I feed grinds mornings only so do still supplement with heart/liver every couple of weeks.

Thank you, I just didn't want to over organ them. I'll get chunks for the afternoon. They aren't liking the whole animal grinds so it is skinless duck/organs/bones
