Hi everyone!
We have decided to give a video contest a go. This first one will be a trial. Please enter your wonderful ferret videos~~~ If the first contest goes well, we will look into having this an ongoing contest.
This is also my first time doing something like this~ Let's have some fun!
Since videos are a little different to photos, there will probably be more rules and requirements that come with the contest. You can read through the rules and requirements below. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Video contest suggestion courtesy of storm.
- Videos must fit the theme of the contest: [ “Caught In The Act” ]
- Videos must be your own work. Anything that violates copyright will be taken down and disqualified from entry. (A warning may also be issued.)
Video Requirements:
- Videos must be a maximum length of 15 seconds.
(If you are not Tech Savvy or do not have software such as adobe premier pro or after effects, There are free apps for trimming videos on the phone, or you can use YouTube Video Editor.)
- Videos must be uploaded (by you) to a video hosting website such as YouTube.
Instagram and Tapatalk is also okay.
- The video must be set to PUBLIC - sharing and/or embedding must be enabled (If it is public, then it should be fine to embed on the forum.)
- The video must contain “HFF Video Contest + Month/Year” within the title or description.
- You can submit as a URL if you are unsure how to embed the video. (I will do the embedding if it doesn’t automatically embed.)
Entry & Voting Period:
- Videos must be submitted to the [ “Caught In The Act” ] thread within the entry period before voting will commence. Entry to the contest will start on [12/10/2016] and end on [18/10/2016].
- Once the entry period ends, the thread will be locked and a voting thread will be opened.
- There will be a 48hr (2 days) voting period starting on [19/10/2016] and ending on [20/10/2016].
Voting & Winner:
- The winner will be chosen through a separate voting poll thread during the voting period. Who ever recieves the most votes by the end of the voting period will be the winner for that contest. If votes end up tied, there will be final secondary voting period.
- The winner will be contacted VIA forum private message.
The winning video may also be announced / shared both on the Forum and through the HFF Facebook group.
- Winner will have the opportunity to decide the next contest theme.
- Votes (and Entries) are limited to one per member.
- In order to vote and/or enter a video, you must be a member of the forum.
