The past few days I've noticed large white rubbery things in the girls poops, that I'm like 99.9% sure is chicken skin that gone straight through the digestive tract.
It's not foreign bodies or anything like that, but of course skin that passed through the digestive tract totally looks tapeworms. I don't know if anyone here has ever seen a tapeworm but that's honestly what it looks like. But it's not alive, and I highly doubt the girls could worms bad enough that they'd be passing them and wouldn't have any other symptoms so almost positive it's chicken skin, because it only comes out on days they've had skin.
But skin acts like the pumpkin does right? It's suppose to just push through them and not actually digest?

Those are hairballs. Spooked the heck out of me first time I saw them The fur gets surrounded by mucous, making it look like a slug.

Seriously, hairballs??!! I never ever would have guessed that in a million years! Hahaha Thank you for clearing that up! Guess that means the pumpkin and olive oil is doing its job? or does that mean I should give more to get rid of any other remaining hairballs?

to answer the original question: No, skin should NOT pass through it should get digested. That is as long as the skin is raw or on whole prey. Skin itself is pure protein, digestible protein. RAWHIDE, while skin, has been trated and the dryness tends to make it indigestible.
