Back in December, my parents took in a retired breeding dog. She spent about 5 years of her life in a kennel(she's a little over six now) so she's afraid of EVERYTHING; it took almost a week for her to move except for to barely move enough to eat/drink, and she still spends most of her time in hiding. She finds their other dog(s) intimidating and, as someone with an anxiety disorder, I really relate to her. Despite her "problems", she's an amazing dog; gentle, goofy, affectionate. I'm completely in love with her, and I'm really hoping my parents will let me take her when I move; she needs so much more than they can or want to give her. Her first day home. Her watching a movie with me. Begging for pets <3 Guarding her ball Making sure I don't leave her. Hiding in the closet during a thunder storm. Making sure I don't stop petting her. Helping me write. Napping while I make dinner for humans.
